This is the first of what will be many posts from my recent wedding in Curacao. Nope, I hadn’t heard of Curacao before being asked to photograph/attend the wedding either! In case you’re curious and don’t have time to Google it, Curacao is a tiny island off the coast of Venezuela.
Rich and Jenny chose this island as the location for their wedding because it is in the middle of where each of them is from (England and California), and more importantly, they LOVE beaches, sun and scuba diving! And YES, I did try scuba diving – twice!! It’s amazing, and everyone should try :)
First on the itinerary: Bachelor/Bachelorette party days! I have to admit, this day was a bit like the bachelor/bachelorette parties in the movie Mamma Mia (embarrassing, but I kinda love that movie!) and that made it SO MUCH fun! I only have images from the bachelorette part, and I’m quite thankful for that, since as I was leaving the boys starting their party they had rich in a snorkel-drink contraption…
After spending a whole week with them, Jenny and Rich have AMAZING friends! Jenny’s friends gave her the most wonderful bridal party with such thoughtful (and some scandalous!) gifts, just thinking about it brings a smile to my face :)
The girls put so much time and effort into making it such a fun party!
Jenny got “beautified” ….
We took a party bus to the Willemstad, the city in Curacao (which looks like an awesome city that I wish I’d had time to explore more!!). The bus driver sang the “anthem of the bus” to us :)
And of course shots of Blue Curacao are required!
